We are proud to offer you the Look Good...Feel Better program, sponsored by the American Cancer Society (ACS). Guided by volunteer cosmetologists, ACS designed this program for female cancer patients. Participants learn how to use make-up and skin care techniques to overcome the appearance-related effects of chemotherapy and radiation.
Patients learn ways to deal with cancer treatment-related hair loss using wigs, scarves and other accessories. First-time participants receive a free make-up kit. Those in active cancer treatment can attend the classes and receive materials at no charge.
In addition to the very real physical and emotional concerns of the disease, the side effects of cancer treatment can be devastating to a patient's self-esteem. Past participants in the Look Good...Feel Better program have called it an emotional lifesaver, saying it helped them return to a sense of normalcy and allowed them to smile again.
Look Good...Feel Better is a free, non-medical, product-neutral program offered through these partners:
Programs are held at Addison Gilbert Hospital and Beverly Hospital.

The specialists in our cancer rehabilitation program are here to help improve your life during and after cancer treatments.
Cancer rehabilitation can help with a wide variety of treatment-related conditions and their symptoms, including:
The Center for Rehabilitation and Sport Medicine at Beth Israel Lahey Health Care Center–Danvers is proud to be certified by the STAR Program (Survivorship Training and Rehabilitation) for our cancer rehabilitation services. STAR is a nationally recognized program designed to improve the lives of people experiencing side effects from cancer treatment.
We offer coordinated cancer rehabilitation from a team of specially trained providers, including physical therapists, dietitians, occupational therapists and others who specialize in the unique needs of cancer survivors.
The STAR cancer rehabilitation program is designed to help anyone who has problems they didn’t have before their cancer diagnosis, especially if these problems interfere with their quality of life or ability to function the way they did before.
You will need a referral from your doctor in order to participate. We are happy to work with you to determine your insurance coverage for our services.
