According to the National Alzheimer's Association, millions of
Americans now have Alzheimer's disease or another type of dementia.
This includes 5.1 million people who are over age 65 and 200,000
individuals who have younger onset of Alzheimer's. In
Massachusetts, the estimated number of individuals who now have
Alzheimer's is 120,000. This number is expected to grow to 140,000
by the year 2025.
