Comprehensive employee benefits
At Beverly Hospital, we are committed to the health and well-being of our employees and their families. Whether you’re a full- or part-time member of our team, you may be eligible for a range of employee benefits.
We offer a variety of health insurance benefits and dental insurance options. Beverly Hospital contributes toward your monthly premium for these plans. Employees may elect single, two-person or family coverage. Insurance premiums are deducted from your pay on a pretax basis.
Vision insurance is voluntary coverage and is available to you at group rates. You can use this coverage for exams, frames and lenses.
Life insurance coverage is provided after 90 days of service for full-time employees. Beverly Hospital pays the total cost of the premium for a life insurance benefit equal to your annual salary. Full-time and eligible part-time employees may elect voluntary supplemental coverage of one, two and three times their annual salary.
Saving for the future is important. Beverly Hospital offers 403(b) and noncontributory retirement plans.
Our 403(b) plan allows you to save a percentage of your pretax income. The income you set aside for retirement (your deferral) typically isn’t subject to federal or state taxes until retirement. Deferrals must be made as a payroll deduction. They can be calculated as a percentage of pay or a dollar amount. You are always 100% vested in your contributions.
Upon separation from Beverly Hospital, you are entitled to receive the full amount of your salary deferral account.
Beverly Hospital’s noncontributory retirement plan provides retirement income through a Defined Benefit Cash Balance Pension Plan. The hospital fully funds this pension plan. Eligible participants are 100% vested after three years. Account balances are credited with annual pay and interest credits.
If you should depart before retiring, you may leave your vested account balance in the plan (if it exceeds $1,000) to accumulate more interest or you can take your vested balance with you. At retirement, vested participants have a choice of two payment options: lump sum or monthly annuity options.
If you become disabled and unable to work, we offer these income protection benefits:
Employees hired to work at least 20 hours per week begin accruing PTO on the first day of employment. PTO is offered for vacation time, holidays, and sick and personal use. If you have unexpected financial needs, flexible use or payment (cash-in) of accrued PTO may be offered.
We offer tuition reimbursement through our Tuition Forgiveness Program. This program reimburses a percentage of the cost of undergraduate or graduate-level tuition. We also provide financial help for earning certifications and attending conferences.
Your personal and professional lives are demanding. Beverly Hospital’s Employee Assistance Program (EAP) is designed to help you and your family meet the challenges of these demands. We offer you and your family members confidential counseling services.
As an employee at Beverly Hospital, you also receive these benefits:
