Wound and Hyperbaric Medicine

Our Approach

Many Americans suffer from chronic, non-healing wounds. Some wounds are associated with complications from diabetes, vascular disorders, pressure sores or traumatic wounds. The types of wounds treated include pressure, diabetic, neuropathic and ischemic ulcers; venous insufficiency; traumatic and surgical wounds; vasculitis; burns; late effects of radiation; and  Peristomal skin irritations. The Center utilizes the most up-to-date approaches to wound healing such as advanced wound dressing, bioengineered skin replacement and, in some situations, hyperbaric oxygen therapy.
