In today's world of computers and smart phones, weekend sports and busy everyday activities, hand pain and hand problems are quite common. At Beverly Hospital, we offer treatment for a number of hand conditions including arthritis, fractures, nerve compressions and workforce injuries.

Beverly Hospital's fellowship-trained orthopedic hand surgeons are experienced in performing advanced surgical procedures such as:

  • Carpal tunnel release, including mini-open carpal tunnel release procedure through a smaller incision
  • Trigger-finger release
  • Reconstruction of the basal joints (joints at the base of your thumbs)
  • Total joint replacement in fingers
  • Distal radius fracture repair, using a metal plate implant and no external device, to stabilize wrist fractures
  • Wrist arthroscopy (using a thin scope passed through a tiny incision to look inside the wrist)
  • Tennis-elbow release

Patients undergoing hand or wrist surgery at Beverly Hospital also benefit from the New England Baptist Orthopedics Program, which includes:

  • Nurses, therapists and staff specially trained in orthopedic care
  • Nurses, therapists and case management working with each patient to ensure optimal preparation before, during and after surgery
