Lahey Health Launches New Brand Campaign
Brand Campaign Focuses on Integrated Services, Bringing Continuum of Care to the Community
Burlington, MA - Lahey Health launched today a
new brand campaign highlighting the comprehensive continuum of care
and integrated services offered by the new network of services -
the result of the affiliation between Lahey Clinic Foundation and
Northeast Health System.
Lahey Health brings together an academic medical center,
community hospitals, primary care practices, specialty care,
behavioral and senior care services. The campaign illustrates Lahey
Health's dynamic new approach to care that is focused on helping
patients become and stay healthy by providing all the services they
need in the community setting.
"There are monumental changes happening in healthcare in the
U.S.," said Howard Grant, JD, MD, president and chief executive
officer of Lahey Health and Lahey Hospital & Medical Center.
"Our focus is on keeping our patients well, and we truly have a
unique system of care that addresses all the needs of our patients
and communities. Lahey Health provides all the services they need
in a community setting, which is more effective and efficient for
patients, families, insurers and employers."
As part of the new campaign, Lahey Health is launching a series
of broadcast, print, and transit advertising and
community-based activities. It is fresh and bold to represent a new
approach to care that is more patient-focused.
"Quality care and safety have always been our number one
priority, but for years, healthcare organizations have been
operating on a fee-for-service payment model," said Grant. "We are
now looking at new reimbursement models that place greater emphasis
on how healthy we keep our patients and communities. These models
reimburse us for the quality of care provided - both excellent
clinical outcomes and patient satisfaction - a tremendous shift
that benefits our patients."
Lahey Health brings together not only award-winning hospitals
and nationally-recognized physicians, but also a network of senior
care services that offer a broad range of at-home services, skilled
nursing and rehabilitation services, an assisted living facility
and community-based adult day health programs; as well as one of
the area's most comprehensive behavioral health networks, providing
integrated inpatient and outpatient services throughout
northeastern Massachusetts.
With the new brand launch, Lahey Health is raising money for six
local food pantries by donating up to $1,500 for each through
visits to their new parent website LaheyHealth.org: Beverly
Bootstraps (Beverly), Haven from Hunger (Peabody), Lexington
Interfaith Food Pantry (Lexington), Open Door (Gloucester), People
Helping People (Burlington), and People to People (Danvers).
Under the new brand, internationally-renowned Lahey Clinic will
be renamed Lahey Hospital & Medical Center to
better reflect the full level of clinical expertise it offers as a
world-renowned tertiary provider of care, and a new Lahey Health
logo and color scheme will help to brand Lahey Health facilities
and physician practices across the region.
Several naming changes are accompanying the new brand
campaign. Among the new hospitals and facilities are:
- Lahey Hospital & Medical Center, Burlington (formerly Lahey
Clinic Medical Center)
- Lahey Medical Center, Peabody (formerly Lahey Clinic Medical
Center, North Shore)
- Lahey Outpatient Center, Lexington (formerly Lahey Medical
Center, Lexington)
- Beverly Hospital, A Member of Lahey Health
- Addison Gilbert Hospital, A Member of Lahey Health
- Lahey Outpatient Center, Danvers (formerly Beverly Hospital at
Danvers)
The branding campaign follows the successful completion of the
affiliation between Lahey Clinic and Northeast Health System on May
1, 2012.
"The affiliation of our organizations creates better value and
the enhanced delivery of clinical services, which ultimately means
a better patient experience," added Grant. "We have a great
opportunity to showcase the innovations underway at Lahey Health
that not only improve patient outcomes, but help lower healthcare
costs. Our goal is to keep care within our communities.
This approach, combined with our community-based focus, is what
patients and providers are looking for and is a tremendous asset as
we continue to grow this health system."
