Beverly Hospital Unveils Art Donation from Medtronic
Volunteer Art Project Showcased in New Cardiovascular Wing
(Beverly, MA) – September 1, 2010 – Beverly Hospital recently unveiled an art display in the new Cardiovascular Wing which was donated by volunteers from Medtronic in Danvers. The artwork was painted by Medtronic’s volunteer group Mission in Motion and donated to Beverly Hospital earlier this month.
Medtronic, a global leader in medical technology, manufactures medical devices focused on the treatment of chronic diseases, including cardiovascular conditions. Through the company’s employee engagement program, Mission in Motion, Medtronic employees are encouraged to volunteer their time, talents and resources to assist nonprofits. This donation to Beverly Hospital’s Cardiovascular Wing shows how Medtronic employees support the communities where they live and work.
“We deeply appreciate this heartfelt gift from Medtronic,” said Dr. Edward Loughery, medical director of Beverly Hospital’s Cardiac Catheterization Lab. “As a community hospital we work hard to build strong connections with the communities that we serve. We feel fortunate to have this kind of connection with Medtronic. Our patients will benefit greatly from this wonderful art display.”
Beverly Hospital’s cardiovascular services provide a wide range of cardiac testing, diagnostic services, treatment and follow-up care. Specially-trained, board-certified cardiologists, electrophysiologists, interventional radiologists, and vascular surgeons work together to ensure that patients receive the care and treatment that will allow them to regain their health and quality of life.
“Medtronic is proud to support community partners like Beverly Hospital, especially for programs that align with our core values and help to improve people’s health,” said Mark Chartier, Site Leader and Director of Operations, and Community Champion for Mission in Motion at Medtronic in Danvers.
