Beverly Hospital at Danvers Welcomes New Physicians
(Danvers, Mass.) - June 11, 2009 - Beverly Hospital at Danvers
recently welcomed two physicians to offer primary care services to
residents of the North Shore. Kristina Anton-Schnell, MD, MPH, and
Walid G. Bader, DO, are both board certified in internal medicine
and join Steven L. Keenholtz, MD, and Thomas J. Lapine, MD, as
members of North Shore Primary Care (NSPC). NSPC is a physician
practice that provides internal medicine, infectious disease and
travel medicine services for adults at its two Danvers locations:
on the second floor of Beverly Hospital at Danvers and 140
Commonwealth Ave.
Dr. Anton-Schnell received her medical degree from the
University of Sint Eustasis School of Medicine in the
Netherlands-Antilles following the completion of her MPH in
epidemiology and biostatistics at Tufts University School of
Medicine in Boston. Anton-Schnell joins Beverly Hospital at Danvers
from Delta Memorial Community Hospital in Delta, Colo., where she
was an attending physician in their internist and hospitalist
medicine program as well as Chief of the Medicine and ICU
Committee. She is an active member of the American Medical
Association and the American College of Physicians. Anton-Schnell
holds state medical licenses in Mass., Colo. and Conn.
Dr. Walid Bader, a R.I. native, received his medical degree from
the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine in
Biddeford, Maine, after graduating with honors from Rhode Island
College with a B.S. in Biology and Chemistry. He completed his
residency at Saint Vincent Hospital, UMASS and Worcester Medical
Center in Worcester and joins Beverly Hospital at Danvers from
Upstate Carolina Medical Center, in Gaffney, S.C., where he was an
attending physician. Past awards and honors include the National
Health Service Corps Scholar Award, House Officer Teacher of the
Year Award and the Students in American Universities and Colleges
Dean's List. Dr. Bader is a member of the American College of
Physicians and holds medical licenses in Mass., N.C. and S.C.
