Wound & Hyperbaric Medicine Center Opens
BEVERLY HOSPITAL TO HOLD OPEN HOUSE FOR NEW WOUND AND HYPERBARIC MEDICINE CENTER

Hospital will celebrate the opening of its new Wound and Hyperbaric Medicine Center with an open house on Thursday, January 18. This Center is the first facility between Newburyport and Boston to offer hyperbaric oxygen therapy to chronic wound sufferers. Speakers will include Beverly Mayor William Scanlon, Northeast Health System Chief Operating Officer Phil Cormier, Medical Director Randy Maloney, M.D. and Cheryl Malmborg, director of the Center.

The Center is an outpatient, hospital-based program that works in conjunction with the patient’s primary care physician, specializing in the treatment of problem wounds. The Center is staffed by 10 board-certified physicians as well as certified wound nurses and hyperbaric technicians -all with specialized training in advanced wound care and Hyperbaric Medicine. The Center will feature state-of-the-art hyperbaric oxygen therapy for certain wound conditions.
