Northeast Physician Hospital Organization Honored By General Electric
Physician Organization Jointly Owned By Parent Company of Beverly and Addison Gilbert Hospitals
(Beverly, MA) - The Northeast Physician Hospital Organization (NEPHO), owned by New England Community Medical group (NECOMG) and Northeast Health System (NHS), the parent organization of Beverly and Addison Gilbert hospitals, was recognized by General Electric for its innovative use of the new GE Centricity Practice Management and Centricity EMR. NEPHO was recognized as a leader in innovation for their continued commitment and support towards improving healthcare.
NEPHO is utilizing the GE Centricity EMR product to help their physicians replace paper records and provide their practices a way to improve the efficiency, quality and safety of patient care. The Centricity EMR enables easy access to important patient information inside and outside the office.
“The adoption of an electronic medical record system requires significant commitment of financial and other resources by our physicians,” says Todd Lowthers, manager of physician services for NEPHO. “Through the efforts and commitment of the physicians, their staff, the EMR team and GE healthcare, we have made great progress over the past 20 months. We are honored to receive this award from GE.”
NEPHO was presented with a plaque from GE to commemorate their distinction as a leader in the marketplace for EMR implementation. NEPHO is regularly recognized publicly for excellence in the delivery of quality care by its physicians and hospitals.
